De Leesclub gaat deze week over milieudelicten in Zuid-Amerika en de rol van ondernemingen en overheden daarin. Met o.a. UU-docent Damien Zaitch en studenten van de UU. Presentatie Bald de Vries (UU).

Notulen GA Occupy Utrecht 17-07-2012

Stand op zaterdag
De kraam voor de stand staat nog steeds bij Ubica. Ze zijn ervan op de hoogte dat de kraam komende zaterdagmorgen gehaald wordt voor de stand, ze zullen met elkaar overleggen of de kraam nog langer bij hen in het gebouw mag staan. De bedoeling is om de kraam in ieder geval van 12-18u te bemannen. Als het goed is ligt het meeste materiaal voor de kraam bij Bram. Neem zelf ook materiaal/boeken mee als je komt.

General Assembly Occupy Utrecht - 11 juni 2012

Aanwezig : Patrick, Manolie, Freek, Abraham, Daniel, Marion, Joanna, Maan, Bram, Floris (notulist), Paul, Ben , Martijn en Florian.

3 Punten worden voor aanvang van de GA besproken:

1) Amnesty International vraagt ons om zsm een petitie/tekenlijst terug te sturen.

2) 17 Juni as. hebben we de muziekjamsessie hier bij Occupy Utrecht op Nieuwenoord. Dit valt samen met het Cannabis bevrijdingsfestival in het Westerpark Amsterdam van 14:00 tot 22:00.

The poetry afternoon was a success, small but very cosy. The weather was good, many people had an act, and there was even some dancing. Floris made films, they can be found on the Occupy Utrecht website.

Verloop Ter Apel
Er zijn inmiddels zo’n 300 mensen in het tentenkamp bij ter Apel. Florian en Manolie gaan dagelijks op en neer. Er zijn dringend tenten nodig, en andere zaken zoals voedsel, kleding.
De Facebook pagina is booming en ook de media besteed veel aandacht aan het Ter Apel debacle. PJ biedt aan dat er eventueel tijdelijk mensen bij hem kunnen logeren. Mensen met tijd en energie kunnen uiteraard bijdragen, neem contact op met Florian of Manolie.

Ook op de Ganzenmarkt zal steun gezocht worden voor Ter Apel:

- Today there is an anarchist demonstration in Amsterdam
- Today there was a protest round around the Binnenhof in The Hague
- In the US people protested in 125 cities as a reaction to aggression towards immigrants. Comment: in the US several Occupy’s are talking with the Tea Party. Are we looking too much towards America and should we focus more on ourselves?

The court case fighting the mayors decision to remove Occupy from its current location is on Wednesday 25th of April 14.00. During the meeting everything for the defense has been prepared. Fraukje, Florian, Hans and Frederic represent Occupy Utrecht

Thursday April 5 at 13.00 is the next meeting with representatives from the municipality about what happens after Queens Day. They make a decision, after that we can only fight that decision. This assembly we have to choose between going outside (in Amelisweerd) or going into a building (which we hope we can choose in dialogue with the council).
