Cotton, Colonialism and Social History in Sub Saharan Africa

ISAACMAN is professor of history and director of the MacArthur Program on Peace and International Cooperation at the University of Minnesota. RICHARD ROBERTS is professor of history and director of African studies at Stanford University.
