Thursday April 5 at 13.00 is the next meeting with representatives from the municipality about what happens after Queens Day. They make a decision, after that we can only fight that decision. This assembly we have to choose between going outside (in Amelisweerd) or going into a building (which we hope we can choose in dialogue with the council).

ZESDE LANDELIJK OCCUPY MEETING (LOM) GRONINGEN - 15 APRIL 2012

12.00 - Opening, kennismaking en bespreking programma

12.30 - Start thematenten:
* Financiele crisis
* Ecologische crisis
* Naam /logo occupy beweging
* ESM
* Communicatie (verschillende media en actiegroepen onderling)
* Evt andere thema's
Elk thema wordt in meerdere groepen behandeld en we draaien elk half uur door van tent/plek.
Concreet willen we van elk thema een aantal ideeen en actiepunten (afspraken) op papier (post-its?) krijgen en deze verzamelen.

Pauzes nemen we voldoende tussendoor.

2e Ubuntu Circle

Op 24 april 2012 wordt de tweede Ubuntu Circle georganiseerd. Na de inspirerende eerste Circle hebben wij, een groepje deelnemers aan de 1e Ubuntu Circle, ons bereid verklaard het voortouw te nemen voor de 2e Circle. We nodigen je uit om ervaringen, informatie en kennis met en over ubuntu met ons te delen.

SBI training & advies faciliteert deze 2e Ubuntu Circle door haar locatie op Landgoed Zonheuvel ter beschikking te stellen en de aanmeldingen te verzorgen. Deze Ubuntu Circle duurt van 9.00 uur tot 17.00 uur, met aansluitend diner.

1. Court case tomorrow
The court case fighting the mayors decision to remove Occupy from its current location is on Wednesday 25th of April 14.00. During the meeting everything for the defense has been prepared. Fraukje, Florian, Hans and Frederic represent Occupy Utrecht

As outdoor temperatures are rising, the Occupy movement is taking to the streets again. The financial crisis seems here to stay. And the same market driven policies that got us into this mess, are now being forced upon us as a solution.

Which lessons can we draw from our experience with more than half a year of Occupy? In what ways should our strategies be adapted in order to be more effective?

Extra vergadering over hoe verder op Ganzenmarkt na de - voor Occupy gunstige - uitspraak van de rechter woensdag 25 april jl. Het verblijf mag met minimaal zes weken worden verlengd.

- Today there is an anarchist demonstration in Amsterdam
- Today there was a protest round around the Binnenhof in The Hague
- In the US people protested in 125 cities as a reaction to aggression towards immigrants. Comment: in the US several Occupy’s are talking with the Tea Party. Are we looking too much towards America and should we focus more on ourselves?
