Anarchistische Groep Nijmegen - Utrecht

CrimthInc. in the Netherlands

withdefiance — Sun, 09 Sep 2018 06:19:21 +0000

CrimethInc. is coming to the Netherlands. There will be two public events where a CrimethInc. comrade will do a talk on current anarchist struggles
in the US.

What the talks are about:

How did Trump come to power, and what does his rise tell us about this era? What strategies are anarchists in the USA using to counter the rise of grassroots nationalism?

Framing the Trump presidency in a global context, we will discuss the new conditions for social struggle and explore the approaches to self-organization and self-defense that anarchists have employed in theUnited States since the end of 2016.

About CrimethInc.

“CrimethInc. is a rebel alliance—a decentralized network pledged to anonymous collective action—a breakout from the prisons of our age. CrimethInc. is an international network of aspiring revolutionaries extending from Kansas to Kuala Lumpur. For over twenty years, we have published news, analysis, books, magazines, posters, videos, podcasts, and a wide range of other resources — all copyright free, produced and distributed by volunteer labor, without reliance on external funding or market trends.

CrimethInc. is a desperate venture. As this society lurches ever closer to annihilation, we are staking everything on the possibility that we could kick open the escape hatch to another future. Rather than competing for social capital or selling ourselves to the highest bidder, we have thrown ourselves completely into the struggle for a better world. We invite you to do the same.”

[Utrecht] The Volcanoes A Philosophical Performance

withdefiance — Fri, 18 May 2018 18:38:27 +0000

The Barricade invites on this special evening the theatre group AstaroTheatro to perform their play Volcanoes.

“The Volcanoes” are current Odysseus’s who are wandering around, displaced and destroyed. They are souls who are “carrying” the confusion, the illusions and the chaos of humanity… they are down there, feeling the cutoff of the true soul.

“The Volcanoes” is a philosophical performance which attempts to connect the “broken” parts of cosmos. Illusions, blindness and chaos are the “broken parts” that keep the humanity in darkness. They would like to bring back the light, to restore…to reconnect…who is ready to take this “journey”?

“I am hearing the earth…there is always an interaction between the earth and heaven.
It is as if heaven is reaching down…”
Van Gogh

[Utrecht] Barriversary – Barricade’s 1st Birthday!

withdefiance — Wed, 13 Sep 2017 09:51:06 +0000

Every Sunday we turn ACU into a library!

Book-Café The Barricade is celebrating its first birthday! The one year mark is as good a time as any for self-reflection – we’ve chosen to use our birthday weekend to look back at our collection and ask some questions: Who is included? Who is missing? How can we challenge the ways in which our libraries, movements, and the stories we tell about their histories, prioritise certain knowledges over others?

Join us for music (on Saturday), talks and discussions (Sunday) and of course a vegan dinner straight out of the Barriccoons’ trash cans! (Sunday)

Date & time: Oktober 14th / 16.00
Location: ACU, Voorstraat 71, 3512AK Utrecht

Utrecht: Saharwies, the forgotten struggle

withdefiance — Thu, 07 Jan 2016 06:27:27 +0000

Western Sahara is considered by the UN as the last territory in Africa yet to
be decolonized. After more than 40 years of illegal occupation by Morocco
(with the complicity of USA and EU) the Sahrawies are divided by the “Wall
of Shame”. This wall is the longest in the world with 2,720 km, and is
surrounded by 40 million land mines. On one side of the wall 200.000
Sahrawies survive in refugees camps in the middle of the desert also called
the "The Devil's Garden", on the other side, the occupied territories the
resistance to the occupation suffer from the harsh repression.

- Why do we not know about the Sharawies?
- How did we get to this situation?
- Who stands to gain by the status quo?

14th of january, 19:30 in the Kargadoor, Utrecht.

Stop Pegida! Stop de rechtse hetze!

withdefiance — Tue, 03 Nov 2015 16:58:57 +0000

Over Pegida

Laat Ze Niet Lopen!

Puscii presenteert: Privacy Party

withdefiance — Tue, 18 Feb 2014 01:29:16 +0000

Meenemen: vragen, kennis, nieuwsgierigheid, laptop, (not-so-)smart phone, snacks
Trefwoorden: versleuteling, anonimiteit, privacy, tor, pgp/gpg, otr, tails, gnunet, i2p, otr, diy hosting, ostn, redphone, textsecure, ssl/tls, browser-beveiliging, google-alternatieven, etc.

Oproep demonstratie 12 mei in Utrecht

withdefiance — Tue, 10 May 2011 15:39:21 +0000
